The Calusa Dog Agility Club was formed in 2010.  We held our first AKC-sanctioned agility event on November 12, 2010 at the Manatee County Fairgrounds, Palmetto, Florida.  Since that time, we have continued to sponsor several trials between June and September every year.

The Calusa Dog Agility Club is a not-for-profit organization serving the Southwest Florida area to provide opportunities for competition in the sport of dog agility and to help dog lovers in our community find training in agility, obedience, rally, and other dog performance activities.  

Other objectives of our club are to promote and publicize dog sports, provide learning opportunities for competitors to develop skills, share knowledge regarding training and handling methods, and to promote the humane treatment of dogs.

Our goal is to fill the gaps for competitive opportunities in dog sports in Southwest Florida where there is an interest and a need.
